Heal Yeah!

In my YouTube Channel this past week I discussed all the tools that have helped my family and I support our immune systems.

One of the main ways we support our immune systems is with Apple Cider Vinegar and making bone broth, so I wanted to give you guys my recipe for that so you too can start making it from home.

Bone Broth

  • Good quality organic, grass-fed bones (a whole chicken, turkey—you can even go buy bones from whole foods)

  • Add in the skin, cartilage and any juices from the meat too

  • 2 Tbsp good quality apple cider vinegar

  • 10 cups of water (enough to cover the bones)

  • ½ onion

  • Onion skins (packed with flavor)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • Garlic skins (again packed with flavor)

  • Any fresh herbs you have (chives, parsley, cilantro, thyme, rosemary)

  • 2-3 carrots in chunks

  • 2-3 stalks of celery in chunks

  • 2 small chunks of fresh ginger

  • 2 small chunks of fresh turmeric (so many health benefits!)

  • Salt

Add all this into a crockpot, cook on low for 24 hours. If you use an insta-pot I hear it is crazy fast, make sure to Google timing on that.

Why do I use apple cider vinegar? It helps pull out the nutrients in the bones.

After the 24 hours, you want to strain out all the bones, veggies, etc. You only want the broth. Then put it in a glass or steel container (no plastic!) … pour yourself a mug too!

The next day when you get your bone broth out of the fridge it should be a jelly like consistency…this means CONGRATS you made a successful batch of bone broth. I am hit or miss on the jelly form, but I always drink my goodness. I think this is from the ratio of bones to water. And I do know the more skin you have helps too.

Again this helps with a multitude of things from digestive support, to strengthening tissue and bones, to healing your gut (google leaky gut!), to clearing up skin, strengthening hair and nails, helping your fat be used properly within your body… just all around awesomeness.
